FAQs
01
Do I need any pottery experience?
Not at all! Our workshops are designed to be welcoming for beginners, with step-by-step guidance throughout the process. You’ll learn simple handbuilding techniques and have the opportunity to explore your creativity at your own pace.
03
What should I bring to the workshop?
Just bring yourself and your creativity! We provide the clay, tools and materials needed for your workshop. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
05
How long does it take for my pottery to be ready?
Please allow approximately 4–8 weeks for your pieces to be completed. The timing can vary depending on drying conditions, firing schedules and the type of workshop.
07
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least seven days’ notice if you need to cancel your booking. Cancellations made less than seven days before the workshop are generally non-refundable. Transfers may be considered with sufficient notice and are subject to availability.
09
What happens if I can’t attend my workshop?
If you’re unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. Transfers may be considered depending on the notice provided and availability. Please refer to our Booking Policy for full details.
11
Are your workshops suitable for children?
Our workshops are currently designed for adults aged 18 and over.
13
Can I book a private workshop for a group?
If you’re interested in organising a workshop with friends, celebrating a special occasion or arranging a group activity, please get in touch to discuss your ideas and see what may be possible.
02
What is included in the workshop price?
All clay, materials, tools, guidance and firings are included in the workshop price, unless otherwise stated in the workshop description. We’ll provide everything you need to create your own handmade pieces.

04
Can I take my pottery home on the day?
Your pieces need time to dry before they can be fired, so they won’t be ready to take home on the day. Once your pottery has been fired and is ready for collection, we’ll let you know.
06
How will I know when my pottery is ready?
We’ll contact you when your finished pieces are ready for collection. Please arrange to collect them within one month of notification, unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
08
Will my finished pottery look exactly as I expect?
Each piece of pottery is handmade, making it unique. Slight variations in shape, texture, colour and glaze are part of the beauty of handmade ceramics. Occasionally, pieces may crack, warp or break during drying or firing, despite every care being taken.
